Nanoblocks: Mininano Eevee
I have never been into Pokemon, knowing that if I ever started I would want to try and 100% all of the games. Around 2017 one of my co-workers went on a trip to Japan and returned with some small gifts for a few of us, Nanoblock Mininano Pokemon sets as she knew I was into Lego and others were into Pokemon. The one I got ended up being Eevee and I had it sitting on my desk until I left that job.
With the recent release of the official Lego Pokemon sets, including a large Eevee, I decided to re-create the Nanoblock Mininano version using Lego bricks.
Comparison between Nanoblocks and Lego bricks.
A 1x1 Nanoblock is 4mm x 4mm x 5mm or 3mm high excluding the stud.
A 1x1 Lego brick is 7.8mm x 7.8mm x 11.3mm or 9.6mm high excluding the stud,.
I ended up creating a few versions. The first being a straight copy replacing each Nanoblock with the same size Lego brick. I used brown colored bricks instead of medium nougat as I do not own enough. Unfortunately, I misplaced the instructions but the official Nanoblocks website has most of them available for download.
Since a 1×1 Nanoblock has a shorter height ratio in comparison to Lego bricks , I did an alternate version with each Nanoblock represented as two plates high instead of three plates (or a brick tall).
The third version is similar to the second version but using tiles to have no studs showing.
